Advanced Facilities and Technology
Afai Southern possesses two shipberth workshops which are 90m long, 42m wide and inside having six 170m long slipways, equiped with four 8t double-girder bridge cranes with 23.5m hook height; three subsection halls each 60m long, 21m wide, equiped with six 8t double-girder bridge cranes with 12.5m hook height; and one movable shed workshop with the length of 100m, width of 40m; one 90m long special outfitting dock with a 4t shore crane and ten materials warehouses. Afai Southern has the capacity to manufacture any types of aluminium alloy ship less than 120m long.
Afai Southern bought over 150 first grade TIG, MIG aluminium welding machines, and is equipped with world-class numerical control plasma cutting machines in order to cut precisely. Every ship-fitter and welder is equipped with special cutting and cleaning tools to ensure the quality.
Afai Southern has received the workmanship certificates from the BV, CCS and DNV in aspect of the key skill------aluminium welding which is advanced in the world and has received high comment from ship-owners, ship surveyors, experts and the ship-building circle.
