On 22nd August 2019, Afai Southern Shipyard and Jiangsu Maritime Authority celebrated the Shipbuilding Contract of 4 units 15m patrol boat.

The concept design of this project comes from CAMARC (EASTERN) LTD, a famous and dedicated English design company of aluminum petrol boat, while detail construction design and construction will be taken by AFAI. The boat will be a shallow V double line slide type, equipped with diesel engine with propellers, with LOA 15m, beam 4.6m and design speed over 50km/h, and will serve for Class A navigation area of inland rivers.

Combining characteristics of quick response and life rescue, this boat realizes functions of patrol and rescue, in the future will serve for maintenance of traffic order and daily supervision after inauguration of the second Deepwater Channel of Jiangsu Maritime Authority.

It is the first time that Afai Southern Shipyard undertakes construction of maritime patrol boats, which will establish a solid base for comprehensive exploration in aluminum fast patrol boats for inland water, furthermore, expand product range of AFAI.
