The First High-end Wind Farm Support vessel in China “Yu Feng Zhe” Started to Cut Material

       On 25th Nov. 2021, AFAI started to cut material for Yu Feng Zhe, a 32m aluminum wind farm support vessel, for Shanghai Goldsea Marine and Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. Yu Feng Zhe will be the first domestic wind farm support vessel that is designed and built as per the highest international standard, a pioneer of high-end wind farm support vessel in China.

On the ceremony, the Director of Board of Goldsea – Mr. Luo Liming, started the cutting machine.

       Other guests also participated in the ceremony, including Deputy GM – Mr. Leng Delai, GM – Mr. Lu Ke from Goldsea, GM – Mr. Chen Xiaoliang, Vice GM – Mr. Yu Zuying from AFAI.

       Imported from the internationally advanced parent boat, this boat is designed specially according to the conditions of offshore wind farms in China and the owner’s operation requirements. She has a LOA of 32.1m, molded beam of 10m, designed draft of 1.4m, with a passenger capacity of 12 people and designed speed of 23 knots. She will be equipped with imported main engines, gearboxes and CPPs. With the propulsion of CPP, rapidity of the boat can be ensured, while sufficient propulsion power and the best maneuverability under low speed navigation state can also be guaranteed, which makes the operation more efficient and safer.

       Under the guidance of market demands in the era of rapid development of offshore wind power in China, AFAI fully makes good use of rich experience accumulated in the design and construction of aluminum boats, is accord with international advanced standard and actively carries out research and investigation. Therefore, AFAI made several “The First in China” in high-end wind farm support vessel industry. The smooth start of this project marks that AFAI and Goldsea lead the domestic wind farm support vessel market to a higher level, and further lays the foundation for AFAI in the aluminum professional wind farm support vessel market.
